Learning through acquisition is what learners are doing when they are listening to a lecture or podcast, reading from books or websites, or watching demos/videos.

As you develop your Acquisition learning activities, think about how you can make the learning experience more accessible for all students – ask yourself the following questions:
- Will you make materials available before class? (This is highly recommended.)
- Are a variety of formats available (not only text)?
- Will videos be captioned and transcripts provided?
